Why did you join Nextdoor?
Prior to Nextdoor, I worked for a large corporation, although I learned a lot as a business professional, I never felt the work I put in was truly valued. As I searched for new opportunities, Nextdoor’s purpose to cultivate a kinder world stood out to me, and I thought that if a company prioritizes building community, then their internal culture must do the same.
What’s been one of your favorite projects to work on?
The Neighborhood Ad Center. It’s been so much fun building out our very own self-service platform with each cross functional team.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work? (Pre-COVID & During COVID)?
I’ve been surfing for 22 years, so outside of work I enjoy surfing Ocean Beach, running through Golden Gate Park, hiking, and snowboarding during the winter months in Tahoe.
Most memorable moment at Nextdoor?
Being one of the first Sales Representatives to win new business on our self-service platform, The Neighborhood Ad Center. Growing the business from $0 in Revenue to $10,400,000 today, and still climbing!

Where is your favorite place in the world?
San Sebastian in the Basque Country of Spain. The culture, the wine, pinchos, and the food are all incredible. Not to mention the landscape, it’s an amazing city with so much to offer.
Favorite way to give back to your local community?
During the pandemic I built many strong relationships with the elderly in my neighborhood. I started doing some yard-work for my neighbor Sally, from there her neighbor, Victor, asked me to fix his lawn, and then his neighbor, Pam, asked me to fix her lawn. It’s incredible how a simple gesture can build such strong community ties.
