Why did you join Nextdoor?
I decided to join for so many reasons – the people, the vibe, and because I truly connected to Nextdoor’s purpose of cultivating a kinder world where everyone has a neighborhood they can rely on. I knew that by joining, I would be able to unlock different challenges that would motivate me to think bigger and better.
What has been one of your favorite projects to work on?
My favorite thing about my role is being able to connect my colleagues by creating a warm and inviting culture for our New York office. I have the pleasure of planning and executing events for our employees to enjoy during Traffic Weeks and other fun occasions. It’s been very rewarding to help foster a strong sense of community for our growing team in New York and I’m looking forward to even more events.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with my family! I have been blessed with an amazing husband, two beautiful children, and our fur baby, Zara!
Most memorable moment at Nextdoor?
My most memorable moment at Nextdoor was visiting our headquarters in San Francisco! It was so exciting to visit our beautiful office and to have those in real life moments with so many colleagues I had met virtually. The connections you make in person will always triumph over virtual connections.
Best career advice?
Remember that constructive criticism is better than praise.
Where is your favorite place in the world?
Home (wherever my family is!)
What is your favorite way to give back to your local community?
I love to go and read to elementary students at the schools in my neighborhood.
