Why did you join Nextdoor?
I originally joined Nextdoor because I wanted to use my experience building and engaging communities alongside Nextdoor’s deep presence online. I’ve loved the chance to leverage Nextdoor’s tools for community leaders and neighborhood associations so they can do their best work.
What has been one of your favorite projects to work on?
One of my favorite projects to work on has been the LA Metro project. It has challenged me to be creative with colleges and community associations using grassroots tactics alongside tech.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Playing basketball and playing golf with people I know I can beat!
Most memorable moment at Nextdoor?
Working with the community team to pull off a great neighborhood summit with former WNBA player Tamika Catchings as our featured speaker.
Best career advice?
Always leave your computer at home when you’re going on vacation!
Where is your favorite place in the world?
Negril, Jamaica. It is famously called the “Capital of Casual” and is very laid back and tranquil.
What is your favorite way to give back to community?
I love civic engagement! In my spare time I’m involved in voter education and registration activities. I think its the highest form of civic participation!
