Why did you join Nextdoor?
I joined Nextdoor because it offers a unique way for communities to truly connect with each other. From meeting neighbors to connecting with local businesses, we’re creating meaningful, in real life connections that matter.
What has been one of your favorite projects to work on?
Executing the Nextdoor Neighbor Nook activation during Advertising Week New York is one of my favorite recent projects. We were able to create a warm and inviting space reaching audiences from both a B2B and B2C perspective. Not only did we highlight our B2B messaging to reach new advertisers but we were also able to create live interactions in the application giving attendees the opportunity to explore and discover their neighborhood on Nextdoor.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy going to the farmers market, discovering new ingredients, and testing out new recipes. I generally like to eat what’s in season and look forward to expanding my flavor profile when it comes to dinner. I also really enjoy doing these things with my family and making core memories with my 2.5-year-old daughter who is the absolute light of my life.
Most memorable moment at Nextdoor?
Meeting my team in real life. I joined in the middle of COVID-19 so for a good nine months everything was virtual. We had an offsite where I got to meet and bond with the team live after months of seeing them only on Google Hangouts.
Best career advice?
Always respond with kindness. Sometimes we can be put in challenging situations but you never know what someone else is going through and kindness is always the answer.
Where is your favorite place in the world?
Barcelona! I went there on my honeymoon and fell absolutely in love with the city. From the food, architecture, markets, wine, culture, and people I was left speechless and absolutely in love.
