Why did you join Nextdoor?
When looking for roles, it was very important for me to find a company with a great engineering community, especially being early in my career. Nextdoor stood out to me the most because of how warm, helpful, and engaging the engineers were throughout the interview process. Even after joining, the engineering community at Nextdoor has exceeded all expectations and helped me grow professionally and personally.
What has been one of your favorite projects to work on?
Since joining the Ads organization, I have had the chance to work on some of my favorite projects. A highlight has been working on Ads tracking which is very important for billing and measuring Ads performance through our Ads server. I also implemented a lot of data science and analytics engineering related tasks and designs which have really been instrumental for my growth.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I like to go hiking on weekends or just to drive to the South Bay and get good Indian food (guilty pleasure.) When San Francisco is warmer, between August and October, I love to go to the beach!
Most memorable moment at Nextdoor?
My most memorable moments are when we have team offsites and everyone from different cities (and countries) come together in person.
Best career advice?
It’s important early in your career to join an organization that genuinely cares about your growth like Nextdoor did for me. As you begin your career, the best environment to be in promotes your professional and personal growth.
Where is your favorite place in the world?
I recently traveled to Puerto Rico, which was beautiful. I hope to go to Alaska or Norway next!
