Why did you join Nextdoor?
It all came down to the people. Everyone was so welcoming during my interview process, plus I saw representation during my process. I could see myself at Nextdoor before I joined.
What has been one of your favorite projects to work on?
Less of a project and more of my entire role. I’ve loved diving into all of the nuances of structuring a strong campus program for interns and new grads. Every year is a new chance to further improve and iterate our programs.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Other than gaming, I’m a cosplayer, so I try to craft and create costumes when I’m not doing all my dad stuff.
Most memorable moment at Nextdoor?
Having my son join my meetings to the point where my coworkers get sad when he’s not around.
Best career advice?
The best time to explore career opportunities is early in your career. Use the first 1-5 years of your journey to truly estimate the kind of role that will be the most fulfilling for you.
Where is your favorite place in the world?
Memphis, Tennessee, where I was born and raised!
