Why did you join Nextdoor?
Nextdoor’s core value of investing in community begins within the company. From the moment I started interviewing, I could tell that everyone who works at Nextdoor is warm, welcoming, and always willing to help.
What’s been one of your favorite projects to work on?
I have really enjoyed developing new roles for the Neighborhood Leads Program. From creating tools to help our reviewers handle reported content, to building a role around welcoming neighbors to make sure our new members feel included in the neighborhood from the beginning, I have been lucky to see the positive impact of the work I do.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work? (Pre-COVID & During COVID)?
I love getting on my road bike and exploring the hills, beaches, and communities around the SF Bay Area. I moved during COVID, so I’ve spent a lot of time exploring my new neighborhood, making a hobby of furnishing my new place using Finds on Nextdoor, and checking out new outdoor rock climbing spots.
